Joyce Welshans and her late husband, William "Bill" have been collecting since the 1960s and always had a love for things like banks, salt and pepper shakers -- and especially Joyce who loved Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer. In their early days they operated "Past Time Antiques" in Wakefield, Kansas, but were also regular attendees to Flea markets in Hutchinson and Wichita almost every time they occurred. Additionally they frequented numerous antique shops throughout central Kansas enjoying finding historic items that reminded them of their childhood and days gone by.
